SAVE THE DATE!

WELCOME to GO PULASKI COUNTY!

Volunteers Building Community, One Project at a Time.

Most of us have a built-in desire to be a part of something bigger than ourselves and to make a real difference, especially when working alongside other volunteers. Go Pulaski County’s motto is “Volunteers Building Community, One Project at a Time.” During a one-day county-wide service event, volunteers of all ages and skills have the opportunity to pitch in on one of a dozen or more projects. At the end of the day, we have contributed to the building up of our community – making a positive difference through the services performed and making new bonds of friendship through service.

We hope you will explore our pages to see if there is a project idea you can submit, or if you wish to volunteer, or simply enjoy the photo gallery of Volunteers Building Community!

You’ve got questions, we got answers…

What is Go Pulaski County?

GO Pulaski County (GO PC) is an annual single day service event when volunteers of all ages come together to serve on one of numerous work projects across Pulaski County that benefit individuals/families, local schools, community centers, libraries, parks, neighborhoods, etc. in an effort to build a sense of community and to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.

When is Go Pulaski County Happening?

Saturday, September 28, 2024 – Our 9th Year! Projects run from 9am – 3pm (ending time varies on project).

Where does GO PC Happen?

All around the county!

What happens on the day of Go Pulaski County?

We begin the day at a central “hub” location (TBD) at 8:00am to get registered, enjoy light refreshments, pick up a snack bag, meet your teammates on your project, and receive some basic instructions. After our sending prayer, each team heads to their particular project location to begin the service project. Length of time at each site will vary depending on the nature of the work to be done, but we are usually finished anywhere from noon – 3:00 pm. If your project will extend beyond noon, we will furnish lunch. Cool drinks such as water and Gatorade are also provided regardless of the duration of the project – thanks to our donor, Gatorade in Wytheville!

Who can be a part of Go Pulaski County?

All ages are welcome. Children under 12 years of age must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
